On Wednesday, September 23, 2009, BBB | Greater Maryland held its annual Torch Award Celebration at The Baltimore Zoo's Mansion House in Baltimore Maryland.
Over 200 guests’ attended the "southern style" themed event for networking with other local Maryland Businesses, as well as to hear the announcement of the 2009 Torch Awards for Marketplace Excellence.
The Torch Award is a symbol of a company's commitment to honesty and integrity toward customers, employees, shareholders and their community, and is one of the most recognized trademarks in the world. Every year we conduct BBB Greater Maryland Torch Awards for Marketplace Excellence to recognize local businesses and organizations that exemplify a commitment to conduct ethical business practices.
Emmy award winning ABC2 News reporter Joce Sterman emceed the event and announced the winners of the 2009 Torch Award. The five winners of the prestigious award were congratulated by BBB President and CEO, Angie Barnett.
